A RISING TIDE tells the story of Sam Rama, a young chef trying to save his family's restaurant after it floods in hurricane Sandy. It's a love story, about his love for cooking, his relationship with his family, and it is the story of two people falling in love when they least expect it - in the wake of disasters both large scale, and personal. It explores how the American dream is changing from one of individual pursuits to one where communities have to come together to support each other. Produced by NIFF alum Kristin Fairweather (FUTURE WEATHER, 2012).
